Compare the Meerkat Campaign Results

Since posting my original thoughts and social measurement on the Compare the Meerkat campaign some time ago I’ve been asked a few times about the definitive results. Having been a casual observer of the campaign and measuring via a social media monitoring system only I was not aware of the hard fact around ROI.

However, I have dug around across a few sites and it seems that following are consensus results for the campaign(s) so I thought I would publish them here.

My original posts can be found here:

Compare The Meerkat Results

As mentioned above these are not numbers direct from Compare The Market, VCCP, or anyone similar who I can authenticate so please take them with the necessary pinch of salt. They are also from quite a few months back as that was all I could dig out from my searches. There was a stat in there around Facebook Fans which I have removed as that was inaccurate.

That said they do seem very impressive and gut instinct makes me think that they could well be in the right ball-park.

Ken Block, 650hp Fiesta and l’Autodrome, France – amazing driver

A complete guilty pleasure of mine is watching Ken Block in his variety of vehicles such as a Subaru Impreza, a Subaru Impreza on snow trax, etc, tear up various places around the world while going sideways, backwards and pretty much any direction as long as it is not forwards in a straight line.

Now he has got hold of a Ford Fiesta with 650hp under the bonnet, +600 lb of torque which does 0-60mph in 1.9secs…shit, that’s fast…and an old autodrome…would could possible happen next?

Absolutely mind blowing as usual…go on Ken my son!

Cheers to @DaveRReed for spotting and sharing this little treasure.

VW Fun Theory ad pushes down speeding by 22% by making it a lottery

The winning idea of the fun theory award, submitted by Kevin Richardson, USA. Can we get more people to obey the speed limit by making it fun to do? This was the question Kevin’s idea answered and it was so good that Volkswagen, together with The Swedish National Society for Road Safety, actually made this innovative idea a reality in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Sun spoofs the Old Spice campaign for it’s 40th Birthday

Nice work guys. This is amusing and all shot in one take – like it!

Not sure my wife would like it but there again I guess Page 3 wasn’t created for her type…female sorts…
